Gay Malin

Gay Malin has been shown in many solo, group and invitational exhibitions across the country and is represented in personal collections around the world.  She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a major in sculpture and minor in drawing from Syracuse University where she received the award “First Prize: Outstanding Sculptor”.  Other honors and awards followed.  She is a member of both the Sculptor's Guild and the International Sculpture Center.

For several decades she worked as an Exhibit Specialist at the New York State Museum where, among other projects, she restored the Cohoes mastodon and created over a dozen facial reconstructions on skulls.  She has also taught and held workshops throughout the country.

She believes that art is about challenging ideas and exploring our existence.
