Daniel Koterbay is a graduate of Savannah College of Art & Design and The Surrey Institute of Art & Design. He completed his MFA from New York Acedemy of Art, New York in 2019.
Primarily working in oil paint as his medium of choice, he combines both figurative and graphic design elements into a cohesive balanced work. He’s been heavily influenced by the Pop Art movement. This can be seen in the techniques he uses from both the advertising world, i.e. billboard designs, to graphic novels. At times, his work have been compared to those of James Rosenquist.
Daniel Koterbay has exhibited both domestically and internationally. He’s also taken part in art fairs in Miami, FL, and Seoul, South Korea. Most notably at the Korean International Art Fair in Seoul. Currently he has returned for his M.F.A. at the New York Academy of Art in Manhattan, NY where he has received guidance from Will Cotton and Eric Fischl.
